The Way the Sky Looks

Looking up into the clear blue sky,

I couldn’t help but think that

A day like this could be better used

If I spent it with you.

Still, I walk with a smile on my face

It’s because I’m in love.

The beautiful sunset splayed across the sky

It was romantic even with just me

I look onward at the sight

Knowing that you’re looking at the same sky

Somewhere else in the world

We’re sharing the same view.

Stars illuminates the night sky

The day’s coming to an end

As I realize the futility of my feelings

The cold darkness begins to wrap around me

But it’s comforting because

The fact still stands that...

I’m in love.
