Falling

I fell in a hole,
All too soon,
I just got up,
Just to fall,
Again.

I'm falling,
Falling into the depths,
Hoping for someone-
Someone to catch me-
Again.

I'm still falling,
The deeper I fall,
The more I realise,
I can only hope,
Hope for so much,
Again.

I hit the bottom,
Now knowing that
No one was here.
Again.

I lie there,
Not doing anything,
Just waiting,
Waiting for a response,
A response never there.
Again.

I look up the hole,
I finally see
How deep I've fallen,
Fallen for someone,
But no one was here,
Again.

I've fallen in holes,
And in each,
I've made mistakes,
But this time,
Never again.
