A Point in Life

Alone in this dark tunnel, she's lost her way. With no sense of direction, she continues to walk. Stumbling upon rocks and pebbles alike, trying to find the path out of the darkness. She's isolated and secluded; all alone, though she's brave and willing. She could find the way out, she told herself, never knowing that she was only lying to herself. She stumbled on a rock, and this time she fell. She landed on her hands, and they were scraped as they were protecting her from the full effect of the fall.

He got back up to his feet and began walking again, still not knowing what was up ahead. The more he walked, the more he started to lose his courage. He felt like he was going 'round and 'round, lost in the way he was going. He was getting tired as her feet trudged forward, aimlessly walking in the darkness. Finally, he fell back into his bottom, not knowing what else to do. He had become scared and lonesome in the cave. He brought up his legs and looked at his scratched hands, observing the injury from the fall before. Despair washed over him as he places his head on his knees.

You don't know where to go anymore. All of the paths that you have taken all either lead you to a dead end or to back to where you came from. You cry out in the dark for help once and hear no response. A second time and there was still nothing. You decided if there was still no response after the third try then you would just give up. You shout your loudest in hopes that the cave would be able to carry your voice. There was still no answer. You sit there, not knowing what else to do. Despair washed over you again; too depressed to even cry; quickly giving up hope of ever being found. You close your eyes for a couple of minutes, which felt like an eternity, until...

You see some sort of light behind your eye lids.

She opens her eyes.

He sees an out reached hand.

You try to seek his face.

But she wasn't able to see it because he was wrapped in light.

He became hesitant to grab it.

But, what can be the worst thing that can happen to you?

So she grabs the hand.

And it pulls him up.

Making you go up on your feet.

The hand pulls her.

He starts to walk.

You don't have any more doubts.

She finds the sense of security.

He could feel the hope pouring into him.

You start to see his face.

She sees that he's looking at her.

He notices that the other isn't watching where he is going.

You begin to get scared again.

Then she felt the hands tighten.

He never felt so reassured.

You continue to follow.

She could see a smile on the man's face.

He smiles back at him.

You've never been so glad since ever.

She could see another light.

He didn't know he could be even happier.

You tighten your hold on his hand, showing your appreciation for him saving you in the deepest and darkest tunnel.

Once you were out, you look back at the entrance, glad that you were no longer in there. You turn to your savior, but he was no longer to be found. You look all over and there was no sign of him. You didn't know how to thank him anymore. Suddenly, you hear a shout coming from the tunnel. You become shocked. You weren't alone in the tunnel at all, but only one thing ran through your mind. You have to go save whoever it was. The man wrapped in light risked his life to save you, so why shouldn't you? You took a deep breathe, feeling confident and brave, walking back into the cave. Once you were in complete darkness, you find yourself wrapped in light. You smile and make your way towards the helpless voice, knowing which way to take to go there and which way to the exit.
