Missing You Already

It was too sudden.
It happened too quickly.
There was nothing that could’ve been done.
It was unfair.

There wasn’t enough time spent together.
They were just fine the other day.
He was joyful,
She was happy,
They were having fun.
It wasn’t fair.

To a person like him,
To have it happen to her,
To them who could still be here.
There was no fairness.

People are mourning.
People are grieving.
People are regretting.
People are angry, frustrated
People feel helpless.

To have lost on of their own.
A friend, A family, A loved one.
To have them taken away.
Such unfairness.

Whether it was too soon,
Or just at the right time.
We can’t help but feel lonely
Without their presence with us,

Knowing their no longer alive,
There’s a void in our hearts.

Only time can heal such a pain like this.
Only time can make things like this seem fair.
Only time can tell how every one of us will act.

But one thing will stand true to us all.
